WILL 5,000 BTU BE ENOUGH FOR MY ROOM?
5,000 BTU is the right size for bedrooms, box rooms, home offices, nurseries, caravans, motorhomes, site offices and small workshops up to around 12m2. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does it have to go in a window? Yes. Every portable air conditioner has to vent its warm exhaust air outside, and the supplied hose and window sealing kit make that a five minute job. It all comes back out again with no damage, so it is landlord friendly.
Will it work without venting outside? No. If you cannot reach a window or door, an evaporative air cooler is the better choice - message us and we will recommend one.
Is it noisy? Up to 65 dB(A) at full power, roughly the level of normal conversation. Sleep mode slows the fan and dims the display for night-time use.
Do I need an installer? No. Plug it into any standard 13A socket and you are cooling within minutes.
What does it cost to run? At 560W it draws about a quarter of the power of a kettle - roughly 15p an hour on a typical UK tariff.
